Foxhog Bets Big on App-Based Cab Service Provider USTART, Raises Seed Round

UStart, an emerging app-based cab service provider, has successfully raised its seed round from Foxhog Ventures, signaling a strong push to disrupt India’s ride-hailing market.

Founded by Rishabh and Yash, UStart is positioning itself as a competitive alternative to industry giants like Ola and Uber. Its unique selling proposition lies in a direct payment model—customers pay drivers directly, and UStart does not keep any commission. This approach is designed to empower drivers, enabling them to earn more and explore better opportunities.

The UStart app is currently available on the Google Play Store and will soon be launched on the Apple App Store in multiple cities.

“UStart will be a game changer at a time when Ola and Uber are facing challenges related to driver underpayment, and with rivals like BluSmart not actively in the market,” said Tarun Poddar, CEO of Foxhog Ventures.

With Foxhog’s backing, UStart aims to rapidly scale operations, expand into new cities, and bring a more equitable earning model to the ride-hailing industry.
