Foxhog CEO Tarun Poddar Meets the Ambassador of Nepal to discuss the “VC for Villages” Initiative

Strengthening cross-border rural development, Foxhog Ventures CEO Tarun Poddar met with H.E. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Ambassador of Nepal to India, to discuss the expansion of Foxhog’s flagship initiative, “VC for Villages”, aimed at empowering rural communities through interest-free financial support.

During the meeting, held on the eve of Diwali Mr. Poddar emphasized how Foxhog’s interest-free debt solutions can uplift local entrepreneurs and farmers in Nepal, helping them build sustainable livelihoods. The discussion focused on leveraging Foxhog’s financial inclusion model to enhance access to capital in underserved regions.

As part of this collaboration, Foxhog Ventures announced the establishment of 10 CSP (Customer Service Point) Centres along the India–Nepal border areas by December 2025. These centres will provide VC for village services to support rural development, self-employment, and micro-enterprise growth.

“This partnership will bring new energy to Nepal’s emerging government initiatives and strengthen economic cooperation between our nations,” said Tarun Poddar, highlighting Foxhog’s commitment to inclusive growth.

The meeting marks another milestone in Foxhog’s mission to extend ethical and inclusive venture capital to communities that need it most, reinforcing the company’s belief that true development begins at the grassroots.
